I found this (it’s the press release) via Steve Rubell at Micropersuasion before Xmas.
It’s a Nokia survey based on 9000 people. Surveys should always be taken with a pinch of salt. But even if it’s roughly right it’s sobering.
At the Digital Media Literacy Summit Jelly Ellie said she spends her evenings making You Tube videos with her friends, rather than watching television.
So what can professional entertainment industries do to attract her attention?
And who are the professionals anyway if You Tube offers you a cut of advertising revenue if you make a video others like?
